Usually on a label inside a door opening or fuel flap, or in the handbook. Use the car maker's figures, not the maximum pressure printed on the tyre sidewall.
There may be more than one figure
Pressures can differ front to rear and may change for a heavily loaded car. Read the label carefully.
Check when tyres are cold
Driving warms the air and raises pressure, so routine checks are best done before a long journey.
Reset systems only after correcting pressure
Cars with tyre-pressure monitoring may need a reset after inflation. Follow the handbook.
